Roxboro Savings Bank Renews Commitment to PCC Students

Roxboro Savings Bank, a long-time partner to the PCC Foundation, recently rose became a Gold Level Partner for 2018 with a gift of $6,500. Under the direction of the bank’s Board of Directors, $5,000 of this total gift was designated to the Roxboro Savings Bank Scholarship Endowment fund, established with the PCC Foundation in 2003 in memory of J.C. “Bill” Walker.

Local Nurses Honored at Nurses’ Night Out

The Piedmont Community College Alumni Partnership and Person Memorial Hospital will host an evening of celebration and fun for local nurses on Friday, May 4. Nurses’ Night Out will be held at Roxboro Country Club. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for PCC Nursing alumni and are available for purchase at www.piedmontcc.edu/nursesnightout.

Hospital Auxiliary contributes additional $18,000 to scholarship fund at PCC

In 2013, the Person Memorial Hospital Auxiliary donated $25,000 to the Piedmont Community College Foundation, creating a new scholarship endowment. This year, members of the Auxiliary contributed another $18,000 to the fund, increasing the number of scholarships that will be awarded to PCC students.

Piedmont Community College graduates to hear from Martin Community College President and Alumnus of the Year on May 19

PCC will host its 47th graduation ceremony. Weather permitting, the event will be held at the Person High School stadium at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. During the ceremony, students and guests will hear from Jeanean Bustamante, 2017 PCC Alumnus of the Year and Dr. Kenneth A. Boham, Interim President at Martin Community College.

Bustamante named 2017 PCC Alumnus of the Year
