Ashley Fletcher began her fire service career with Timberlake Fire and Rescue in Person County in 2002, and currently holds the rank of Captain.
Ashley has been employed with the City of Durham Fire Department since 2015 as an Assistant Fire Marshal where she is responsible for fire inspections in commercial structures and conducts fire investigations. Ashley’s professional certifications include North Carolina Firefighter Level II, Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Inspector Level III, and Certified Fire Investigator.
Ashley holds a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Emergency Management from the University of North Carolina Pembroke, a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Sociology from Averett University, and an Associates in Fire Protection Technology and an Associates in Emergency Preparedness from Durham Technical Community College. Ashely also holds a Level II Fire Instructor certificate.
She is a member of the NC Firefighter’s Association, NC Fire Marshal’s Association, NC Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators, and NC Fire/Rescue Instructor’s Society.
