Delivery Method: Face to Face ONLY; Students are not allowed to miss any hours. Limited to 10 students per class.

Important:
This course is designed only for currently licensed North Carolina Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) who wish to administer medication in nursing home settings.

If you are seeking certification to administer medication in assisted living facilities, please enroll in the Medication Tech course under Health and Wellness Programs.


Prerequisites

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency
  • Active listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry (CNA certification)

Course Costs

Registration Fee: $70

MACE Exam: $59
This is the State Medication Aide Competency Exam (MACE), required for certification.

  • Instructor approval is required before students may register.
  • Students must schedule and pay for the exam on the last day of class.
  • Payment is made directly to Credentia.
