Who are we?

Our vision is for all students to have the tools, knowledge, and resources to successfully transition to their first semester of college. The Transition Center supports PCC’s overall mission by transforming lives, strengthening community, and inspiring individuals to excellence, regardless of previous education or ability level.

Who we serve?

  • First-generation college students
  • Students who need support in Math and/or English
  • Students who need/want to strengthen their English and Math foundational skills before they enter a curriculum course

Services we provide:

PCC’s Transition Center offers tutoring in English and Math courses with an emphasis on individual and small group instruction. We facilitate an engaging, positive, and supportive environment that provides:

  • Computer Labs
  • Tutoring
  • Advising
  • Counseling
  • Connections to Campus
  • Connections to Community

How it’s possible?

PCC was awarded Title III grant funding in 2018, under the Strengthening Institutions Program. The purpose of the grant is to provide funding to improve academic programs, institutional management, and fiscal stability to increase self-sufficiency and institution capacity in higher education resources.

The Transition Center at PCC is a friendly and wonderful center to do tutoring. They try the best to help you. Mrs. Duncan is awesome and everyone does whatever they need to do to help with your classes. The staff goes above and beyond because they know everyone has the potential to seek out anything they put their minds to.
