Networking Technology – CompTIA Net+ Certification (scholarships available)
CompTIA Network+ Certification is a baseline credential for IT infrastructure, covering troubleshooting, configuring, and managing network. N10-7 exam addresses current networking technologies, like key cloud computing best practices, service models, virtualization techniques, and network resiliency, with expanded coverage of critical security concepts to help networking professionals work with security practitioners.

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING & CONSTRUCTION:
BioWork Process Technician (scholarship available)
Process technicians are involved in the making of products such as antibiotics, bleach, cosmetics, deodorant, detergents, paint, plastics, Post-It notes, shampoo, soft drinks, and wine. Class graduates are able to sit for the process technician certification exam.

OSHA Forklift Training

HEALTH CARE:
Cardiovascular Technician (scholarship available)
Prepare to become a certified EKG Technician (CET) for under $500 (that includes the national exam fee!). This program will prepare students for the Certified EKG Technician (CET) Exam through the National Healthcare Association (NHA). Students will learn the anatomy and physiology of the heart, including the electrical conduction system and how it affects heart function.

Small Unmanned Aerial System (Drone) Pilot Training
Emphasis is placed on Commercial and Government use of drones requires pilots to have FAA remote pilot certification. This PCC course, taught by Roxboro Police Department Detective Jason Howe, will teach drone piloting skills, address various systems, identify applications, and prepare pilots for certification.

Orientation to Online Learning
This course will prepare students to take the courses offered in online and/or hybrid formats by providing training in the skills and strategies necessary for successful engagement with online classes and assignments. Students will be introduced to a variety of online tools, including Blackboard and PCC’s Distance Learning resources, and learn basic computer and internet literacy. Through assessments and classroom discussion, students will gain a valuable understanding of their individual learning styles and learn how to effectively apply time-management and study strategies in order achieve academic goals.

Creating an Online Job Portfolio
This course provides job search skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults. It is designed to prepare the student to gather his/her personal information as it applies to job search strategies and further develop that information into a completed resume. Topics to be addressed include personal development, career exploration, goal setting and the development of a written plan of action which in this case will be the student’s resume.

Employability Lab
This open lab provides employability skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults. Receive career counseling to make appropriate decisions about careers preferences, assessment of current skill levels related to their career choice, and training in the skill area in which remediation is needed. A formal assessment will determine skill appropriateness and identify employment opportunities.
