Article from Roxboro Savings Bank:

Roxboro Savings Bank has elected Piedmont Community College (PCC) President Dr. Pamela G. Senegal to its Board of Directors effective August 1, 2020. She has served as president of PCC since 2017 and was recently accepted into the Aspen New President’s Leadership Fellowship program for 2020-21. She is a lifelong educator who is committed to ensuring that educational opportunities are available to all communities. With more than 22 years of experience in both industry and education, she brings strengths in economic development and partnership creation.

“We are very pleased that Dr. Senegal has agreed to serve on our Board of Directors,” said Roxboro Savings Bank CEO & Executive Vice President Keith A. Epstein. “She is a tremendous leader whose considerable talent and passion for our community will undoubtedly benefit the bank’s stakeholders.”

Dr. Senegal’s dedication to public service is seen in her volunteer work on various boards (Person Memorial Hospital, Foreign Trade Zone #93, UNC Chapel Hill World View Council of Advisors, Carolina Small Business Development Fund, Person and Caswell Economic Development Boards), membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Boy Scouts of America and in her church. She earned degrees in Political Science and Spanish (Bachelor’s), Public Administration (Master’s) and Adult and Community College Education (Doctorate of Education) from North Carolina State University. “Similar to the mission of PCC, Roxboro Savings Bank is committed to serving and improving the community it serves. This alignment in mission and values make me delighted to serve as a director for an organization with a nearly 100-year history of community uplift. I look forward to serving alongside the other directors in stewarding this organization towards continued growth,” said Senegal.

Dr. Senegal has three sons, two of whom are Eagle Scouts, graduates of Hampton University and Winston Salem State University, both gainfully employed, and one who is an 8th grader at Southern Middle School. She will assume her board seat at the next Board of Directors meeting on August 25, 2020.
