Take the next step in your healthcare career with Piedmont Community College’s (PCC) Medication Aide course. Offered on the College’s Caswell County Campus, this course will be held October 26 – November 3, Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Are you interested in enrolling in this program? You must be a high school or high school equivalency graduate and be listed on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry. Course topics will include:
• Medication administration via the oral, topical and instillation routes
• Medical asepsis
• Hand hygiene
• Terminology
• Legal implications
Upon successfully completing PCC’s Medication Aide course, you will be eligible to take the competency exam and demonstrate skills requirements necessary to qualify for listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry. The cost of the exam is $59 and payable to Pearson VUE on the last day of class.
Registration includes a $70 fee and a textbook, which should be purchased prior to the first day of class from the PCC Person County Campus Bookstore (www.piedmontcc.edu/Bookstore).
