IT Support Technician – CompTIA A+ Certification
CompTIA A+ Certification is the industry standard for establishing a career in IT and the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. Cybersecurity – CompTIA Sec+ Certification
CompTIA Security+ Certification is an international, vendor-neutral credential that validates the baseline skills necessary to perform core security functions and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. This course provides an overview of the evolving field of cybersecurity, with an introduction to cybersecurity standards and law. Topics may include common cyber-attacks, identifying threats, the response to these problems and basic principles of security in defending against cyber threats. This course provides entry-level IT security professionals with the knowledge to identify risk, participate in risk mitigation activities, provide infrastructure, information, operational, and application security.

Microsoft Office Specialist – Excel Associate
Students will learn the skills needed to get the most out of Microsoft Excel 2019 by demonstrating competency in the fundamentals of creating and managing worksheets and workbooks, creating cells and ranges, creating tables, applying formulas and functions, and creating charts and objects. This certification exam covers the ability to create and edit a workbook with multiple sheets and use a graphic element to represent data visually. Workbook examples include professional-looking budgets, financial statements, team performance charts, sales invoices, and data entry logs.

Database Concepts – Azure Data Fundamentals
This course helps students master the basics in Microsoft Azure and build technical skills to start working with data in the cloud. This course is designed to prepare students to become Microsoft Certified in Azure Fundamentals and Azure Data Fundamentals by building a foundational understanding of and demonstrate knowledge of cloud concepts, using Azure technology and services, workloads, security, privacy, pricing, and support.

The Emergency Medical Technician certification program is designed to train an individual to function independently in a medical emergency. This course provides the basic knowledge and skills needed to deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) care and is required to progress on to more advanced levels of prehospital patient care.

The Paramedic certification program is designed to train an individual to function independently in a medical emergency. This course provides the basic and advance knowledge and skills needed to deliver Advance Life Support (ALS) care. Session I is required to progress to Session II. Once Session II is completed, the successful graduate will be able to sit for the state or national certification testing.

The Paramedic refresher course is intended for the North Carolina EMS community to use for recredentialing their Paramedic. Small Engine Repair
This course is designed to provide the student with hands-on knowledge of engine rebuilding techniques to manufacturer’s specifications. The student will learn how to completely disassemble engines and check for manufacturer’s specifications and reassemble. Emphasis will be placed on the proper use of special tools and testing equipment.

This course introduces hand tools, blueprints, and basic machines. Emphasis placed on the completion of simple gauges and tools used in the gunsmithing trade. FREE PROGRAMS:
This open lab provides employability skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults. Receive career counseling to make appropriate decisions about careers preferences, assessment of current skill levels related to their career choice, and training in the skill area in which remediation is needed. A formal assessment will determine skill appropriateness and identify employment opportunities.
