COMPTERS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
Google IT Support Professional Certification
Train for one of the fastest-growing fields in the United States. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national median salary for this employment is over $52,000! The Google IT Support Professional Certificate is a program from Grow with Google, an initiative to help everyone have access to the best of Google’s training and tools to grow their skills, careers, and businesses. The course uses a dynamic mix of video lectures, quizzes, and hands-on labs and widgets. Along the way, participants will hear from Google employees with unique backgrounds and perspectives who started their careers in IT support.

Income Maintenance Caseworker – NC Fast
This course is designed to cover a variety of skills associated with the Income Maintenance Caseworker role to determine service eligibility. Specific focus will include proficiency in the utilization of the NC FAST application. Other topics will include skills in communication, interviewing, time management, data gathering/compiling, and data analysis.

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING & CONSTRUCTION:
Process technicians are involved in the making of products such as antibiotics, bleach, cosmetics, deodorant, detergents, paint, plastics, Post-It notes, shampoo, soft drinks, and wine. Class graduates are able to sit for the process technician certification exam.

EMT Online (Continuing Education)
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) online Con Ed program is designed to continue emergency medical training at a basic level. Courses can be used to maintain First Responder, EMR, and EMT certifications. These courses will also be available at your local fire department/ rescue squad.

NC Vehicle Safety Inspections
This course is required for certification or re-certification to inspect motor vehicles under the N.C. Motor Vehicles Safety Inspection Law. Students must have a valid N.C. driver’s license and work at an approved Vehicle Inspections Station or be in the process of establishing a station that meets NC DMV approval.

Basics of 3D Printing
3D printing is the action or process of making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model, typically by laying down many thin layers of a material in succession. This 24-hour course will engage students to learn the basic knowledge and skills to operate and maintain any brand of 3D printer. Students practice operations and print jobs on various brands. 3D printing is important in manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and other industries.

FREE PROGRAMS:
This open lab provides employability skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults. Receive career counseling to make appropriate decisions about careers preferences, assessment of current skill levels related to their career choice, and training in the skill area in which remediation is needed. A formal assessment will determine skill appropriateness and identify employment opportunities.
