COMPUTERS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
Cybersecurity – CompTIA Sec+ Certification
CompTIA Security+ Certification is an international, vendor-neutral credential that validates the baseline skills necessary to perform core security functions and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. This course provides an overview of the evolving field of cybersecurity, with an introduction to cybersecurity standards and law. Topics may include common cyber-attacks, identifying threats, the response to these problems, and basic principles of security in defending against cyber threats. This course provides entry-level IT security professionals with the knowledge to identify risk, participate in risk mitigation activities, provide infrastructure, information, operational, and application security.

Networking Technology – CompTIA Net+ Certification
CompTIA Network+ Certification is a baseline credential for IT infrastructure, covering troubleshooting, configuring, and managing networks. N10-7 exam addresses current networking technologies, like key cloud computing best practices, service models, virtualization techniques, and network resiliency, with expanded coverage of critical security concepts to help networking professionals work with security practitioners.

This course introduces students to the concepts, tools, templates, and artifacts used to manage projects from initiation to completion using Google resources. Emphasis is placed on foundational project management methodology, including initiating, planning and executing projects utilizing quality and risk management techniques, strategic thinking and project execution procedures. Upon completion, students should be able to manage and execute projects from initiation to completion using a variety of resources and leadership skills to support organizational goals and business processes. When offered as a two-course sequence leading to the Google Project Management Certificate, this course represents course one of two.

Microsoft Office Specialist – PowerPoint Associate
Students will learn to create, edit, and enhance presentations and slideshows. This certification also measures competency to create and manage presentations, insert and format shapes and slides, create slide content, apply transitions and animations, and manage multiple presentations. Presentation examples include professional-grade sales presentations, employee training, instructional materials, and kiosk slideshows.

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING & CONSTRUCTION:
Process technicians are involved in the making of products such as antibiotics, bleach, cosmetics, deodorant, detergents, paint, plastics, Post-It notes, shampoo, soft drinks, and wine. Class graduates are able to sit for the process technician certification exam.

Certified Production Technician

Basics of 3D Printing
3D printing is the action or process of making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model, typically by laying down many thin layers of a material in succession. This 24-hour course will engage students to learn the basic knowledge and skills to operate and maintain any brand of 3D printer. Students practice operations and print jobs on various brands. 3D printing is important in manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and other industries.

FREE PROGRAMS:
This open lab provides employability skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults. Receive career counseling to make appropriate decisions about career preferences, assessment of current skill levels related to their career choice, and training in the skill area in which remediation is needed. A formal assessment will determine skill appropriateness and identify employment opportunities.
