BLS-CPR for Healthcare Providers
This CPR course is designed for the healthcare provider or students going into the healthcare field (example Nursing Degree Program, Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy). It is open to all healthcare students, providers, and fire fighters.

Cardiovascular Technician
This program will prepare students for the Certified EKG Technician (CET) Exam through the National Healthcare Association (NHA).

This program introduces the primary responsibilities of a central sterile technician and includes practical applications of learned concepts and procedures. Topics include preparation, storage, distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment, quality assurance and inventory management. Upon completion, students should be able to apply the principles of sterilization/disinfection in the workplace, as well as the principles of distribution of instruments/supplies.

EMT Online (Continuing Education): At Risk Populations / Special Healthcare Needs; Bloodborne Pathogens; Toxicology; Abdominal Emergencies; Pediatrics
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) online Con Ed program is designed to continue emergency medical training at a basic level. Courses can be used to maintain First Responder, EMR, and EMT certifications. These courses will also be available at your local fire department/ rescue squad.

Medication Aide for Licensed Personnel
This program will prepare you for the North Carolina competency exam that enables them to administer medications in skilled nursing homes (long-term care facilities).

Medical Coding and Billing (Part I & II)

Nurse Aid I and II
The Nurse Aide I curriculum prepares individuals to work under the supervision of licensed nursing professionals in performing nursing care and services for persons of all ages. Topics include growth and development, personal care, vital signs, communication, nutrition, medical asepsis, therapeutic activities, accident and fire safety, household environment and equipment management, family resources and services, and employment skills. Upon completion, the student may be eligible for listing as a Nurse Aide I and other selected Nurse Aide registries as determined by the local program of study.

Train to assist in quality pharmacy operational procedures. OSHA Forklift Training
This course provides instruction on the operation and maintenance of an industrial forklift. Core topics include forklift design, controls and instrumentation, pre-use inspection, safety awareness, and forklift stability. This course meets the training requirement for OSHA regulations.

Veterinary Assistant I, II, III, & IV
This entry-level course introduces students to the veterinary industry through the lens of a veterinary assistant. Students gain an overview of general animal care in the veterinary setting including accurate measurement of patient vital signs and proper restraint methods of animals.

Adult Basic Skills/College and Career ReadinessAdult Basic Education (ABE)
- FREE instruction in basic reading, writing, and math (pre-reading skills through pre-GED® skills) to prepare you for high school level work.
- Minors, age 16-17, may enroll if entrance criteria is met.
Adult Secondary Education (ASE)
- High school equivalency test prep for HiSET® and GED® tests.
- Addresses language arts, reading & writing, math, social studies, and science.
- Provides Career Ready™ access to prepare for Work Keys® testing.
Basic Skills Plus (BS+)
- Allows students enrolled in high school equivalency instruction to also enroll at the same time into career pathway courses (college courses, employability skills training, specific occupational training). College courses are free to BS+ students while also attending ABS classes.
- Students who meet reading and math level requirements are eligible.
- Graduate with high school equivalency, college credit, and occupational certification!
- Tuition waiver for college and/or occupational courses on limited basis.

Employability Lab
This open lab provides employability skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults. Receive career counseling to make appropriate decisions about careers preferences, assessment of current skill levels related to their career choice, and training in the skill area in which remediation is needed. A formal assessment will determine skill appropriateness and identify employment opportunities.
