Piedmont Community College (PCC) offers an array of classes each month in the areas of healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, cooking, and education. Many of the career-focused programs also have scholarship opportunities, so you can train for free.

Computer skills for Today’s Job Search – FREE

Are you a job seeker interested in learning how to create and modify resumes, cover letters and thank you notes in NCWorks Online, Microsoft Word, and other job search applications? Then this class is for you! You will also gain basic keyboarding techniques and be introduced to Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

Employability Lab – FREE

Stop by the open entry/exit lab that provides employability skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults. Ideal for individuals who are self-directed in a variety of ways to assess, develop, and remediate skills needed to be successful in the job search process.

3D Printing

Now is your chance to learn about 3D printing, a practice used in manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and other industries, in a hands-on setting!

Networking Technology – CompTIA Net+ Certification (scholarship available)

Prepare for the N10-007 exam (extra fee) as you gain skills in covering troubleshooting, configuring, and managing networks in this program.

Pharmacy Tech (scholarship available)

This live, online course prepares you for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam so you can assist Registered Pharmacists in quality pharmacy operational procedures.

Medication Tech (scholarship available)

Prepare for the North Carolina Adult Care Medication Test that enables you to give medications in adult care homes, assisted living facilities and group homes.

CPR for Healthcare Providers

PCC’s American Heart Association course provides traditional classroom-based training. First-time certifications and renewals for all professions are acceptable.

Biowork Process Technician (scholarship available)

BioWork process technicians are in demand in our area, with an average starting salary of $43,601 per year.  Now is the time to start your training!

Certified Logistics Technician (scholarship available)
