Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer a Pharmacy Technician course October 19 – January 13. This online course will consist of approximately 21 “live online” sessions taking place Mondays and Wednesdays, 7-10 p.m., plus additional online course work assigned by the instructor.

This course prepares students to assist Registered Pharmacists in quality pharmacy operational procedures, filling prescriptions, product inventory control, as well as billing and receiving payments.

Students who complete the course will also be prepared to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification for an additional fee.

Work-Based Learning Opportunity:
In addition to course work, students in PCC’s Pharmacy Technician course are also given the opportunity to enter in the work-based learning course immediately following their successful completion in January. There are a number of local or regional pharmacy locations participating in this work-based learning experience.

This hands-on experience proves to employers that you are job ready in a high-demand occupation.

Registration Now:
Registration cost is $180 plus $100 for background check and drug test. Registration, payment, and personal computer specifications are required prior to entering the course. Visit www.piedmontcc.edu/ce to register online.
