PCC ranks first in state for manufacturing credentials awarded

The Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) recently released an index of Certified Production Technician (CPT) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) credentials in the manufacturing and the logistics industries (M&L) where Piedmont Community College (PCC) was noted as the leader for North Carolina.

Certification leads to new job for PCC student David Shaw

Shaw enrolled in Piedmont Community College’s short term Siemens Level I training when it was first offered in May, passing the national exam in June. Two months later he is earning a paycheck through a paid internship at Spuntech Industries, Inc. and continuing his education in PCC’s Electrical Electronics Technology curriculum program.
