Brianna Wrenn wins first place in competition at 53rd Annual SkillsUSA North Carolina Leadership and Skills Conference

Piedmont Community College Career and College Promise student Brianna Wrenn earned first place in the Skills USA Hair Color Contest during the recent Leadership and Skills Conference. The 53rd annual conference was held at the Koury Convention Center and the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC in April.

PCC Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society gains 34 members for academic year

An induction ceremony was held at Piedmont Community College for the Alpha Upsilon Theta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society on April 27. Thirty-four students became new members of the honor society and PCC chapter for the 2017-18 academic year.

Scholarship Endowment created in honor of Victoria Cox Buresch will benefit PCC students from Person County

Victoria’s mother, Kate Moore Cox, established this scholarship in honor of her daughter. Earnings from the Victoria Cox Buresch Scholarship Endowment will be awarded to to one or more students enrolled in six or more credit hours each semester in a technical or vocational program. The next scholarship round will open on June 1 with the online application being available at www.piedmontcc.edu/scholarships.

Piedmont Community College students, staff, and faculty embraced Week-to-Engage, September 10 – 16, by volunteering at neighboring agencies to make a difference in the Caswell County community. The projects spanned agencies from Yanceyville to Milton, NC.
