Only six seats available for PCC’s Medication Aide Training this March

Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer a Medication Aide course on the Caswell County Campus beginning March 16. The class will be held on Monday - Thursday, 1-5 p.m. through March 24.

This short-term healthcare training will allow successful students be eligible to take the competency exam and demonstrate skills requirements necessary to qualify for listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry. The cost for the program, fee, exam, and textbook, is under $150 and provides skills for employment.

Course topics include:
• Medication administration via the oral, topical, and instillation routes
• Medical asepsis
• Hand hygiene
• Terminology
• Legal implications

To enroll in this course, a student must be a high school or high school equivalency graduate and be listed on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry.
