Earn a national credential at PCC’s Certified Logistics Technician training
Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer the Logistics and Forklift training on April 2 – May 13. This class will meet 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Mondays - Thursdays at PCC’s Workforce Training Center located at 303 S. Morgan Street in Roxboro.
This training leads to a national credential through the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC).
Walmart Grocery Distribution Center and MSSC have collaborated to employ applicants who have secured a foundational-level MSSC Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) certification or mid-level technical MSSC Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) certification.
This certification provides you with the mid-level practical knowledge needed to understand the world of supply chain logistics and related core proficiencies including:
• Product receiving
• Product storage
• Order processing
• Packaging and shipment
• Inventory control
• Safe handling of hazardous materials
• Evaluation of transportation modes, customs, and dispatch an tracking operations
PCC’s CLT training provides two credentials: Certified Logistics Associate and a mid-level Certified Logistics Technician. These certificates meet the national skills demand which prepares you for frontline material handling work in factories, warehouses, distribution centers and transporters.
