Nurse Aide I Training available at PCC
Piedmont Community College will offer Nurse Aide I training on the Caswell County Campus. The course will be held June 2 – Aug. 2, Monday-Thursday, from 1:00 – 5:15 p.m. Financial Assistance is available for qualifying students.
Instruction provided in Nurse Aide I training will prepare the student to take the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Competency Test for placement on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry. Successful completion of the training and competency test will enable the student to seek employment in the health care industry as a Certified Nurse Aide I.
Pre-registration by appointment is recommended. The registration fee is $188. Student’s successfully completing the “Orientation to Health Care Careers” class may qualify for financial assistance. This orientation class is free and is scheduled for May 10, 11, 17, 18, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., also on the Caswell County Campus.
The Nurse Aide I training does require a textbook that is available for purchase from the PCC Bookstore. Students must also bring current results from a Tuberculosis (TB) skin test on the first day of class. Upon the successful completion of the course, a competency test fee of $101 is payable to the testing agency.
