Summer, early fall registration
Students who want to take summer session
classes at Piedmont Community College will have an opportunity to register for
classes on April 25-26 from 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. each day. PCC also will
allow current students to register early for fall semester on those same dates.
The first session of summer classes begins June 4 and concludes Aug. 4. A
four-week session is also scheduled and will meet June 4-June 30.
Students and prospective students may
access class schedules on the PCC website (www.piedmontcc.edu) in three ways.
They may select “Curriculum Class Schedule” from the menu at the bottom of the
home page. That will take them to a page offering an interactive schedule
booklet that includes the schedule and other important registration and payment
information. Or they may choose a pdf version of the same publication that they
may print out if they prefer. The third option is to choose “WebAdvisor” for
the most up-to-date version of the schedule. Current students who have
WebAdvisor accounts may use WebAdvisor to register online. Non-students may log
on to WebAdvisor as visitors and view the schedule, but they must see an
academic advisor in order to register.
Financial aid may be available for
summer session for some students. Students who received a Pell grant in the
fall or spring semesters should contact the PCC Financial Aid Office at (336)
599-1181, ext. 381 to check their eligibility. New students must complete the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the academic year online
at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The financial aid
deadline for summer session is May 13. PCC’s Financial Aid Office guarantees
that students who submit their complete financial aid information by the due
date will have their information processed in time to use Pell grants for the
summer 2011 session.
Students also may register for fall
classes on April 25 and 26 for the best selection of classes. The fall 2012
class schedule is available on the PCC website using WebAdvisor only. Fall
class schedules will be mailed on in mid-June. Interactive brochures and
brochure pdfs for printing will be available on the PCC website in late June.
The next fall registration opportunities will be July 25-26.
For more information, contact your PCC
academic advisor or the Student Development Office on either campus.
