The Person County Board of Education recently named Robert “Bob” Morgan as a member of the Piedmont Community College (PCC) Board of Trustees. Morgan’s four-year term began in July 2020.

A lifelong resident of Roxboro and Person County, Morgan is a firm believer in education. In fact, he previously served as a board member of the Person County Education Foundation that supports students in all Person County high schools and homeschool organizations.

Married to an educator and former PCC math instructor, Patricia Kuykendall Morgan, Morgan’s ties to PCC are strong. He has personally supported community college students over the years with contributions to the PCC Foundation.

“It is an honor to be appointed as a member of PCC’s Board of Trustees. I look forward to working with the College’s leadership team, including the other board members who continue to give of their time and talents to make this institution a valuable part of our community,” comments Morgan.

Morgan graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Pharmacy School in 1979. In 1996, he became a pharmacy manager and partner at Community Pharmacy, located on Main Street in Roxboro.

As a Personian dedicated to his community, Morgan is also involved in:
• Long Memorial United Methodist Church as member of the Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, United Methodist Men, and Endowment Committee;
• Person High Football Team as a volunteer assistant coach;
• Rocket Club as treasurer;
• Person County Eagle Board, Boy Scouts of America member.

In addition, Morgan has three sons: Christopher who lives with his wife Savannah in Winston-Salem; Patrick who lives in Concord with his wife Linsay; and JT, a fourth year medical student at the University of Virginia and nine year veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
