Celebrate Valentine’s Day in style with the Kirby’s Dinner Theater, at 6:30 p.m. on Feb.14-15, and at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 16, at the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex. This year, Roxboro Little Theater (RLT) presents Plaza Suite: the funny, cunningly-staged, three-act comedy by Neil Simon, and directed by Trestney Moore.

After a catered dinner, guests will enjoy the hilarious episodes of love and folly, experienced within the same Suite of 719 in New York City’s Plaza Hotel. It’s bound to be a night to remember. Dinner guests will be entertained by the cast, as they help serve your table in character. Lisa Autry, who plays Norma Hubley, says, “I have always liked Neil Simon plays because of the snappy dialogue. My husband has done this play before, and enjoyed it so now I am glad we get to share this production. The Kirby means a lot to us since this is where we met so any opportunity we get to come back and be a part of it, we do.”

A newcomer to the cast, Lindsay Hinger (Muriel Tate), says “I have been incredibly grateful to be welcomed with open arms by the Kirby staff and cast of Plaza Suite.”

The play is well regarded because it is so accessible.

“The audience will likely relate to one or more characters in this play. We have all experienced these emotions at one time or another.” said Tina Wallace who plays Karen Nash.

Concessions will be sold before the show and during intermission, and Bettie Yarborough will have wine and beer available for purchase.

Tickets are $36 for adults and $24 for students (catered dinner provided by Southern Edge Catering included in purchase), and must be purchased by Feb. 6, at the Kirby Gallery, 213 N. Main St. Roxboro, or by calling the Kirby Box Office at (336) 597-1709. Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express are accepted. Box office hours are 1 – 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday.
