Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer the Certified Production Technician (CPT) training in the evenings and weekend on December 3 – April 25. This class will meet from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday in Person County.

Certified Production Technician training offers an industry-recognized credential designed by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council. Students can earn certificates in the following areas:

• Safety Awareness
• Manufacturing Processes

• Maintenance Awareness

In addition, successful students gain skills in manufacturing processes and are prepared for employment in entry-level positions in the manufacturing field.

In fact, the opportunity to participate in a paid internship while in training is an option for students proving they have the ability and desire to work in a team environment.

To enroll in PCC’s Certified Production Technician training or for information about possible funding, contact PCC’s Workforce Development Team at (336) 322-2480. Financial assistance may be available to qualified unemployed, underemployed, and economically distressed individuals.
