Have you been considering a career in healthcare? Piedmont Community College (PCC) offers numerous programs of study that can lead to a degree and local or regional employment.
Now you can learn more about these programs, and specifically the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program, at an information session scheduled for Monday, November 18, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. This session will be led by nursing instructors on the Person County Campus in Barnette Auditorium (D101). The information session is free and open to the public.
Admissions Requirements
Applicants seeking admission to PCC’s Associate Degree Nursing Program, which is a competitive admission program, must complete the following requirements:
1. Show proficiency in math, reading and writing by placing into ENG 111 and MAT 143 or 152 without the co-requisite;
2. Completion of the Kaplan Admissions Test;
3. Submission of application by the March 1 deadline.
Students entering the nursing program are often encouraged to enroll in pre-requisite type classes, such as anatomy and physiology. Learn how you can get ahead and be prepared to begin in the ADN program as soon as possible.
In addition, PCC partners with four-year institutions making transferring easy. In fact, UNC-Greensboro offers a program on PCC’s Person County Campus one day per week where ADN graduates can earn their Bachelors of Nursing in 18 months.
