Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer the Certified Production Technician (CPT) training starting April 8 – June 4. This class will meet from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays in Person County.

The Certified Production Technician training offers an industry-recognized credential designed by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council. Students can earn certificates in the following areas:
• Safety Awareness
• Manufacturing Processes
• Quality Practices
• Maintenance Awareness.

In addition, successful students gain skills in manufacturing processes and are prepared for employment in entry-level positions in the manufacturing field. In fact, the opportunity to participate in a paid internship while in training is an option for students proving they have the ability and desire to work in a team environment.

To enroll in PCC’s Certified Production Technician training or for information about possible funding, contact PCC’s Workforce Development Team at (336) 322-2156 or (336) 599-4620.
