Cartrina DosReis, Founder and Career Consultant of Career Peaks

Interested in learning about careers in today’s job market? Join Piedmont Community College’s (PCC) Educational Opportunity Center at the Career Connection Conference on June 25, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on PCC’s Person County Campus. The event will be facilitated by Cartrina DosReis, Founder and Career Consultant of Career Peaks.

Participants of this event will gain information on career readiness skills in demand by today’s labor market, as well as services that will position them for emerging career pathways.

“More than ever, the key to successful job search is knowing who you are, what you want to achieve, and looking for unmet needs and opportunities to create value,” said DosReis. “The first step is to see your career as your own. Think of yourself as a global citizen. To make your career rewarding, you will need to find your passion, connect with it, learn all about it, work with it, follow it, and live it.”

After this seminar, participants will be able to:

• Use career planning strategies that will lead them toward highly desired careers
• Identify skills and tips to effectively interview
• Articulate the new labor market trends, particularly new collar jobs
• Identify degree and certification programs for emerging careers
