Find out if a career in truck driving is for you in a six day free orientation class offered at Piedmont Community College (PCC).
With this training, you can be on your way to a new career in a high-demand, high-pay industry in as little as 5-weeks!
In partnership with TransTech, Inc., PCC’s truck driver training program consists of extensive classroom, range, and behind-the-wheel instruction to prepare you for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) skills examination. With this training, you can be on your way to a new career in a high-demand, high-pay industry in as little as 5-weeks!
The final test will be provided and administered at the completion of the course. Students will also earn an OSHA Forklift certification in the training. Two highly valued skills that the trucking and warehouse industries need. Job placement services are available, as well.
Free Truck Driver Orientation:
To qualify for financial assistance for the full training, the orientation course held June 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 and 13 is required. This orientation will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at PCC’s Workforce Training Center, 303 S. Morgan Street in Roxboro. Call before June 5 to save your seat for the free truck driver orientation.
Full Truck Driver Training CDL Class A Course:
Two classes are scheduled for PCC’s full Truck Driver Training CDL Class A course. The first will begin June 12 and the second on July 10. Classes meet Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with some evening driving time required. The registration fee of $3,687.25 must be paid in advance.
