In partnership with TransTech, Inc., Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer Truck Driver Training CDL Class A beginning with a free orientation course.
With this training, students can be on their way to a new career in a high-demand industry in as little as 5-weeks!
PCC’s truck driver training program consists of extensive classroom, range, and behind-the-wheel instruction to prepare students for the Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) skills examination. This test will be provided and administered at the completion of the course.
Students will also earn their OSHA Forklift certification.
Those interested in financial assistance for the full training are required to attend the orientation course that will be held May 9, 11, 14, 15, and 16 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at PCC’s Workforce Training Center, 303 S. Morgan Street in Roxboro.
The full Truck Driver Training CDL Class A course will be held June 4-July 6. Most class meetings will be Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and also include required evening driving times. The registration fee of $3,687.25 must be paid by May 25.
