The Piedmont Community College (PCC) Alumni Partnership and Person Memorial Hospital will host an evening of celebration and fun for local nurses on Friday, May 4. Nurses’ Night Out will be held at Roxboro Country Club from 6 – 9 p.m.
The event will honor PCC Nursing alumni and the entire nursing community, featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres, music, networking, and door prizes.
“Nurses are the foundation of care at Person Memorial Hospital – we simply couldn’t do what we do without them. Many of our nurses are PCC graduates so we are fortunate to have such a great program in our community and provide a real-life training ground for future nurses,” said Mary Moon, Chief Nursing Officer at Person Memorial Hospital. Nurses Night Out is a fantastic way for us to support the program and meet some amazing community nurses and alumni.”
Alisa Montgomery, Dean of Health Sciences and Human Services at PCC stated, “The ADN program at PCC has a long history of producing quality nurses. The Nurses’ Night Out gives the College an opportunity to honor their continued commitment to the profession as well as a chance for the faculty and staff to reconnect with former students. Graduates also will have the opportunity to see classmates and alumni they may not have seen since leaving PCC. This will be a grand class reunion for all PCC nursing graduates as well as networking opportunities with other nurses in the community!”
“We are extremely excited about the opportunity to bring the nurses of our community together to show them how much we appreciate everything they do. We understand how hard they work and how difficult their job can be sometimes, so our hope for this event is to express our gratitude and recognize our community’s remarkable nurses,” said David Ziolkowski, CEO of Person Memorial Hospital.
Proceeds from Nurses’ Night Out will benefit future students of PCC’s Nursing Program. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for PCC Nursing alumni and are available for purchase at www.piedmontcc.edu/nursesnightout.
