Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer the Siemens Level I/Mechatronics training beginning with a free Orientation to Siemens Level I course on February 5 – 19. Participants will receive training in job seeking essentials needed to provide marketable skills for manufacturing technicians in the mechatronics field and have an opportunity to earn their NC Career Readiness Certificate (CRC).

This orientation is provided at no cost to those who are not working and looking for employment and will meet 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Mondays – Wednesdays at PCC’s Workforce Training Center located at 303 S. Morgan Street in Roxboro.

Attendance in the Orientation to Siemens Level I is also required for anyone seeking financial assistance for the full Siemens Level I/Mechatronics course, where funds are available to assist with registration fees and other related costs for qualifying participants.

The full Siemens Level I/Mechatronics training course will be held March 7 – May 24, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Mondays – Thursdays. The Siemens Level I/Mechatronics program focuses on the integration of mechanical, electrical (electronics), fluid power (hydraulics or pneumatics), and computer technologies to control machine movements.
