Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer the Certified Production Technician (CPT) training beginning with a free Orientation to CPT on December 4 – 18. This orientation will be held 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at PCC’s Workforce Training Center located at 303 S. Morgan Street in Roxboro.
In the free Orientation to CPT course, you will receive training in basic computer skills and have an opportunity to earn your NC Career Readiness Certificate (CRC), a certificate that many local employers require.
Attendance in the Orientation to CPT is required for anyone planning to enroll in the Certified Production Technician training and requesting financial assistance.
The full lecture and hands-on Certified Production Technician training program will be held January 4 – February 27, 2018. This course will meet 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays.
The Certified Production Technician training program offers an industry-recognized credential designed by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council. PCC’s course offers certificates in the following areas:
• Safety Awareness
• Manufacturing Processes
• Quality Practices
• Maintenance Awareness
Students will also gain specialized skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes for entry-level positions in the manufacturing field.
