Interested in getting new and returning customers through the doors of your small business more often? The “Shop Local, Buy Local” seminar offered through Piedmont Community College’s (PCC) Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center can help you create a marketing plan!

This free seminar will be held at Roxboro’s City Hall on Tuesday, September 19, 6-9 p.m.

Learn how to generate a dynamic Shop Local strategy to help your business, your town, and your county. Because keeping more money in the local economy creates a foundation for real economic growth, it’s important to add the power of Social Media to rev up traditional local marketing efforts and build a higher level of enthusiasm for reaching current and future customers. This is where the New Media—on the air —connects with old-fashioned customer service on the ground to appeal to an ever-widening audience that is searching and making purchase decisions online.

Major topics of the seminar include:
• Maximizing the attracting power of smart phones and tablets used by prospective customers, to draw them into your business.
• Understanding effective ways of investing your time, attention and money that help your own business and community.
• Using the right combination of marketing, web directories and social media to multiply your marketing efforts
• Integrating the mission of the town with the individual mission of each business to make your area a true destination for outside visitors to spend more money in your area.

“Information is power in the business world and because of the efforts of the PCC Small Business Center, our local merchants and entrepreneurs have access to a wealth of information for free!,” comments Lauren Wrenn, Planning and Development Director, City of Roxboro. “I can’t stress enough how important it is for local business owners to customize every aspect of their business to create a unique shopping experience for their customers. We are excited to see this seminar hosted in Uptown, as it is a great way to further the development of our Main Street district as a place where you can Shop Local, Buy Local, Love Local!”

The “Shop Local, Buy Local” seminar is taught by Success Coach, Speaker, Author, Social Media and Social Selling Trainer Martin Brossman of Martin Brossman & Associate. To save your seat for this free small business opportunity, visit http://www.piedmontcc.edu/sbc.
