Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer Orientation to Healthcare Careers training as a free course on September 11 – 21. This class will meet at the Workforce Training Center on 303 S. Morgan Street in Roxboro on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Orientation to Healthcare Careers is a free course designed to help students with choosing a career in the healthcare field. Participants will learn how to evaluate medical positions, such as certified nursing assistant, medical technician, medication aide, EMT, professional medical coding and billing, and cardiovascular technician to determine which field they may be interested in pursuing.
Successful completers may be eligible to receive financial assistance for covering the cost of future healthcare training and all other related fees. Orientation is required for individuals seeking financial aid and is optional for students not seeking financial assistance.
