Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer a Basic Computer Skills course on the Caswell County Campus on May 9 – May 30, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Students will learn the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint, as well as how you can use these programs in day-to-day settings as well as in job search efforts. Participants will work on improving their typing skills and developing a resume in Microsoft Word and in NC Works (necessary for effective job search in NC).
This class will also teach students about the role of information technology in the workplace and basic online job search operations, such as, downloading applications, submitting resumes, and how to research specific companies.
PCC’s Basic Computer Skills course is free to unemployed or underemployed individuals. Space is limited and students are encouraged to pre-register for classes. For further information or to register, call (336) 694-8064 or (336) 694-8080.
