Piedmont Community College (PCC) is now accepting nominations for the college’s first Women of Distinction Awards. This award recognizes the accomplishments of local women who exemplify the vision of the college by being a contributor to their own community and beyond, and have demonstrated excellence in the categories of Education, Community Development, Business, Healthcare, Community Service, or Volunteer Caregiving.

“At Piedmont Community College, we strive to cultivate success in the communities we serve and beyond,” said Piedmont Community College President Dr. Walter Bartlett. “We recognize the impact that female leaders in our community have made in sharing that mission, and we are honored to acknowledge their accomplishments with this event.”

Award recipients will be recognized at the Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon to be held on March 23, 2017 at the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex. This event is open to the community, and tickets may be purchased online at www.piedmontcc.edu/woda, or by calling the Piedmont Community College Foundation office at (336) 322-2102. Tickets are $15 per person, and proceeds will benefit the Piedmont Community College Foundation Scholarship Program. Nominations should be submitted online at www.piedmontcc.edu/woda, and must be entered by Friday, March 10, 2017.
