Piedmont Community College’s (PCC) Continuing Education program will offer BioWork, a course that focuses on entry-level training for jobs in the growing biotechnology manufacturing field. The course prepares men and women for employment as process technicians within bioprocess, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing companies. This rigorous course covers topics such as work place safety, chemistry, process control, and microbiology.
This 16-week BioWork course will start January 30 and end May 9. Classes will be held every Monday and Tuesday from 2 – 4 p.m. on the Person County Campus and includes classroom instruction and additional online instruction. Class participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis with a maximum of 16 students. Units of instruction include
