Interested in gaining self-confidence when developing and delivering impromptu and prepared speeches? Piedmont Community College is offering a free seminar with attorney Alex Dawson that concentrates on these two necessary yet often challenging topics on Monday, November 14. This one-night class will be held at PCC’s Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center (BDEC) located on Main Street in Roxboro from 6-9 p.m.
Participants will work with the instructor to identify and discuss public speaking concerns, fears, and best practices. The seminar will also provide an opportunity to conduct a self-assessment and receive instructor and peer feedback.
Class discussion will focus on learning about different types of presentations, identifying the vital physical elements, engaging in effective planning and preparation, delivering with personality, knowing the pitfalls to avoid, evaluating your performance, and achieving an attitude of professionalism.
To register for this free opportunity, call (336) 599-0032 or visit https://www.ncsbc.net/workshop.aspx?ekey=37036003. Light Refreshments will be served.
