Students in Piedmont Community College’s Integrated Reading and Writing class are hosting Voter Awareness and Registration as part of a service project on Monday, October 3, 10 – 11 a.m. This event will take place in Building E on the Person County Campus.

Community members interested in registering to vote or learning more about the voting process are invited to attend. Students will share information about early voting dates, voting locations, and help participants make address changes, as needed.

Working with the Person County Board of Elections staff and the North Carolina Board of Elections website, students in Janie Clayton’s Integrated Reading and Writing class have learned various voter registration requirements and how to update address information. Voting locations have also changed and students will be able to provide updated information to those visiting their booth.
