Are you interested in becoming an EMT? This career is vital to the welfare of our community. Piedmont Community College (PCC) invites you to enroll now for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training that starts August 4.
Students will learn basic life support skills necessary to provide emergency medical care in hospitals, physician offices, and EMS systems. This course will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays and on some Saturdays. Prospective students must have a High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency.
The EMT course will be held August 4 through December 15 so you can start the New Year off right with a new career!! Classes will meet each Tuesday and Thursday, 5:45-10 p.m., and occasional Saturdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Public Safety Training Center (PSTC) located at 337 Wall Street in Yanceyville, North Carolina.
The EMT training cost requires a $194 registration fee and $150 textbook (estimated).
Students must also purchase a gray polo shirt from the PCC Bookstore for clinical training. Pre-registration is required by August 3, 2016. To register, please call the PSTC at (336) 694-4013.
