Piedmont Community College’s Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center (BDEC) will hold a Notary course on Monday and Wednesday, August 15 and 17. The class will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the BDEC, located at 105 North Main Street in Roxboro.
This course will prepare the learner for appointment to the position of Notary Public in North Carolina. Instruction will include a study of the fees, general powers and limitations, and the requirements for attestation. Participants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and speak and write English.
The Notary course is $70 plus the cost of the textbook $29.89. Payment of the fee is required to reserve space in the class. Those interested in taking the class should register on or before August 11 by calling (336) 599-0032.
