Need to develop your computer literacy skills in order to meet the demands of today’s workforce? Piedmont Community College will offer Computer Literacy for Gaining Employment on the Caswell County Campus. This course will be held July 25 – August 24, Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 1 – 4 p.m.
Whether students are new to computing or have some experience, this class will help develop a fundamental understanding of computers. In addition, students will learn the essential skills to begin computing with confidence, be more productive at work, stay safe online, use technology to complement their lifestyle, and have the opportunity to consider careers using these new skills.
Students will also use the Internet to help increase job search strategies and understand the impact of social networking. The curriculum features screen shots and simulations from Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2013 to illustrate and provide hands-on examples.
Successful students will earn an official Microsoft Digital Literacy Certification, as well.
