Introduction to Computers for Job Search
Piedmont Community College will offer the Introduction to Computers for Job Search course April 11- April 25 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. Classes are held at the Workforce Training Center, 303 S. Morgan St., in Roxboro. Class fees are waived for any student who is unemployed.
Instructor Ann Kirby will teach students with little computer experience the basic parts and functions of the computer, how to use the keyboard, setup an email account, and navigate the internet.
This class is the first class in a series of three designed to teach students how to use computer technology in their efforts to obtain a job. Information on future classes will be available soon.
Resumes and Cover Letters Course
Learn how to build a professional resume and eye-capturing cover letter in this 12-hour class at PCC. When applying for job, a resume in a must. However, cover letters are just as vital and allow job seekers the opportunity to provide information as to why they want to work for the company and why they think they will be good employees for that prospective employer.
Instructor Ann Kirby will provide instruction April 11 – April 21 on Mondays and Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. at the Workforce Training Center, 303 S. Morgan St., in Roxboro.
