Piedmont Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar, “How to Start a Business,” on Tuesday, January 12, from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center, 105 N. Main St., Roxboro. Mike Collins will be the presenter.

This seminar will help you to understand the basics of starting a business. Learn how to take your idea and turn it into opportunities to make it Mike Collins, presenterhappen. Learn key strategies for start-up, financing and marketing as well as important information about legal issues, licensing, zoning, operations and more. Realize the importance of a self-assessment and how to evaluate the feasibility of your business idea. Discover the resources available to help you start and successfully operate your business.

Mike Collins is president of The Perfect Workday Company, an information company based in the Research Triangle Region of North Carolina. He presents 100+ programs a year for organizations such as IBM, American Express, Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals, and The John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School and Center.
