Are you considering a career in Emergency Medical Services? Your first step is to enroll by September 29 for the Anatomy & Physiology for EMS online course that starts Thursday, October 1. This Piedmont Community College course is a pre-requisite for the Paramedic program (a nationally accredited program!).
This course provides a basic study of the structure and function of the human body. Topics include a basic study of the body systems as well as an introduction to homeostasis, cells, tissues, nutrition, acid-base balance, and electrolytes. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of anatomy and physiology.
The Anatomy & Physiology online course will start October 1 and ends December 11, 2015. Registration fee is $180. Registration deadline is September 29. To register, call the BDEC at (336) 599-0032.
