Piedmont Community College will offer evening, weekend, and morning Nurse Aide I training courses on the Caswell County Campus. The evening course will be held August 24 – December 2, Monday-Thursday, from 5:45 – 9 p.m. The weekend class will be held August 28 – December 19, Friday’s 5 – 9 p.m. and Saturday’s from 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The morning class will be held October 8 – December 15, Monday – Thursday, from 8 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Instruction provided in Nurse Aide I training will prepare the student to take the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Competency Test for placement on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry. Successful completion of the training and competency test will enable the student to seek employment in the health care industry as a Certified Nurse Aide I.
Pre-registration by appointment is required. The registration fee is $188. A textbook is required and is available for purchase from the College Bookstore. Students must also bring current results from a Tuberculosis (TB) skin test on the first day of class. Upon the successful completion of the course, a competency test fee of $101 is payable to the testing agency.
