Piedmont Community College will offer “Sewing: Alteration Basics” class on the Person County Campus on Tuesday, August 25. The class will meet from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. in room C113.
Students will learn how to hem pants and skirts, sew on buttons, and adjust waistbands. Participants should bring articles of clothing that are in need of alternations mentioned above, along with matching thread. Students attending without these articles of clothing to alter will practice on other material.
The cost of the class is $35. Required supplies include: thread, seam ripper, and clothing items or pieces of fabric (all sewing items may be purchased at Walmart).
