Piedmont Community College has changed the starting date for its Nurse Aide I training to be held on the Caswell County Campus. The course will begin on Friday, Aug. 22, and will meet through Dec. 5, on Fridays from 5 – 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Instruction provided in Nurse Aide I training will prepare the student to take the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Competency Test for placement on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry. Successful completion of the training and competency test will enable the student to seek employment in the health care industry as a Certified Nurse Aide I.

Pre-registration by appointment is required. The registration fee is $188. A textbook is required and is available for purchase from the College Bookstore. Students are also required to bring a stethoscope and blood pressure cuff to use in the class, also available at the PCC Bookstore. Upon the successful completion of the course, a competency test fee of $101 is payable to the testing agency.

For further information or to schedule an appointment to register, please call Lori Watlington at (336) 694-8057.  Deadline to register is Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m.
