Piedmont Community College will hold its graduation Friday, May 16, at 7 p.m. at Person High School stadium. PCC’s graduating class members have earned a total of 414 associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates and 306 high school equivalency diplomas.
Dr. Tony Habit, founding president of North Carolina New Schools, will be the guest speaker. Mindy Satterfield, the PCC Alumni Partnership Alumnus of the Year for 2014, also will share remarks. James J. Woody Jr., a member of the State Board of Community Colleges, will present PCC’s 2014 Academic Excellence Award to graduate Michael Zizzi.
Handicapped parking will be available in the parking lot adjacent to the gymnasium, on the north side of the school. Carver Drive will be closed to traffic from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move inside to the PHS gymnasium on Friday night, and admission will be by ticket only.
