Piedmont Community College (PCC) will offer a Pharmacy Technician course May 19 – July 30. This online course will consist of approximately 21 “live online” sessions taking place Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-10 p.m., plus additional online course work assigned by the instructor. The work-based learning (WBL) session begins shortly after (August 18 – October 29).
This program prepares students to assist Registered Pharmacists in quality pharmacy operational procedures, filling prescriptions, product inventory control, as well as billing and receiving payments.
PCC has combined the Pharmacy Technician Training with a WBL experience within a local/regional pharmacies to ensure that students are eligible and prepared for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam.
In order to be eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam, students must complete both sessions.

* $180 Registration for Pharmacy Technician training
* $100 Background check and drug test
* $188 Registration for Work-Based Learning course
* $165 Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification Exam upon successful completion of the entire training program
