Piedmont Community College (PCC) offers online medical training programs that lead to careers in high demand, with the next session beginning April 23.
Students can take classes from the comfort of their home while learning to become a Medical Transcription Editor, Professional Medical Coder and Biller, and a Medical Administrative Assistant Electronic Health Record (EHR) Specialist.
In addition to being affordable, under $200 per program, the classes can be completed in only 21 weeks, getting the student career ready in less than six months!
These online classes are offered every month and focus on:
• Professional Medical Coding and Billing: Learn how to translate medical records into standardized codes to bill patients and third-party payers, such as insurance companies and Medicare.
• Medical Transcription Editor: Designed to help you gain the knowledge and skills of both a medical transcriptionist and a medical transcriptionist editor, thus making your skills more marketable after successful completion.
• Medical Administrative Assistant with Electronic Health Records (EHR): This course prepare students to work in various healthcare facilities overseeing their electronic health records, as well as general medical office administration.
