RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership and direction of the Associate Degree Nursing Program; provide collaborative leadership, vision, direction, and oversight of departmental activities; instructs in the ADN program; develops nursing education program to achieve institutional objectives to meet standards established by NC Board of Nursing; guides faculty in curriculum development, evaluate student learning and overall program outcomes; provides leadership for planning, developing, implementing, analyzing, evaluating, revising, and maintaining quality educational programs consistent with current nursing policies; fosters collegial relationship among colleagues and partners; provides leadership for the Health Sciences Advisory Committee; coordinates and allocates resources through budgeting process; collaborates with grants staff to secure additional funding.

 

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience and Knowledge

Requires MSN from regionally accredited institution, possess current, unrestricted NC RN license; two calendar years or equivalent of full-time clinical experience as RN; two years teaching experience in nursing program at associate degree or Baccalaureate level; and excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

SALARY           $65,004 - $72,000 for 12 month position with benefits
